Fundraising Support

We work with large and small non-profits to increase fundraising from foundations, major donors and other sources. We apply our client-first consulting approach to your fundraising challenges. We work 1:1 and in groups with you and your team from ambiguity to a clear set of priorities around fundraising. Fundraising retreat with OASIS Board and staff

Fundraising Plan Development

Schonfield Consulting helped the OASIS Initiative (University of California initiative working in the Sahel) to develop and implement a fundraising plan. We identified “best fit” foundations, advised on foundation outreach, and developed a major donor cultivation strategy, resulting in a $750,000 gift from an individual donor. We also facilitated annual, full-day fundraising retreats for the OASIS team and Board members.

Our fundraising consulting process may include:

Evaluation of existing strategy including any previous fundraising plans.
Interviews with staff and board members to be inclusive of many voices and create buy-in.
Prospecting grant opportunities and creating strategies for managing the grant cycle and approaching foundation.
Creating strategies for identifying and approaching individual donors.
Development of a steering committee within your organization to guide the process.

Development of a shareable fundraising plan document to be used by your organization as a development north star.
